Personal Life
In her free time, Dr. Bang-Crooks enjoys spending time with her husband John, her beautiful 16-year-old daughter Caroline, and their two beloved dogs, Auggie and Wally. She loves to stay fit through strength training, walking, and doing yoga. She enjoys traveling and is a true foodie — she’ll go to the ends of the earth for really good food.
Message From Dr. Bang-Crooks
Hi there! I’m Dr.Bang-Crooks-a dentist with a drill in one hand and a finance degree in the other (don’t worry, I only use the drill on teeth).
After earning my dental degree, I decided to take things a step further and earned a Master of Finance from Harvard University (Extension School), with honors. Why finance, you ask? Because running a dental practice isn’t just about cleanings and crowns-it’s also about making sure we don’t accidentally order 10,000 toothbrushes.
This dual expertise allows our practice to blend clinical excellence with efficient, patient-focused management.
This unique combo of dental and financial knowledge lets us focus on what really matters: you. From smoother scheduling to smarter treatment planning, we run a tight (but friendly) ship, so your experience is efficient, stress-free, and maybe even a little fun. Yes, at the dentist!

Meet Aaron Cherry

With over three years of experience at Ivy Dentistry, Aaron is a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist known for delivering compassionate and thorough patient care. He is passionate about promoting oral health and building lasting relationships with patients. Aaron brings both skill and warmth to every appointment. Outside the office, he enjoys bowling, playing billiards, and exploring new destinations through travel.

Her passion is to help or assist others in her community and individuals around her with compassion by assisting them through their healing journey, using technology, education, and providing a warm, welcoming environment from the beginning to completion. She loves seeing transformation, and it warms her heart to make a difference in someone’s life.
While she is not at the office, you will find her with family and enjoying music… maybe even singing along.
Meet Our New Team Member: Ebony Cohen
We are excited to welcome Ebony Cohen to our team! Ebony is an Expanded Duty Certified Dental Assistant who brings over two decades of experience and compassion to our practice. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2002 with a degree in Biology.
A proud South Carolina native, Ebony embodies true Southern hospitality. Her gentle demeanor immediately puts patients at ease-whether she’s assisting an elderly patient from the waiting room to the treatment chair or comforting a nervous child by simply holding their hand. Her calm, reassuring presence ensures every patient feels cared for and confident throughout their visit.
Ebony is especially passionate about patient education and takes pride in making care transitions as smooth and comfortable as possible. Her dedication to creating a welcoming and informative experience is something both patients and colleagues quickly come to appreciate.
Outside of the office, Ebony is a devoted wife and proud mother. Her son is currently attending Howard University in Washington, D.C., and she often visits him or enjoys family vacations when time allows. She and her husband also love hiking together and exploring nature on their weekend adventures.
